Facilities in the Hostel

There are separate Wi-Fi enabled boys and girls hostels with single , double and dormitory  type rooms and they are provided with uninterrupted power supply supported by diesel generators and hot water facility is provided . The water provided in the taps of the hostel is treated water with the central water treatment plant facilities inside the campus. The Drinking water is provided by the central RO plant in the campus. The sanitation facilities are maintained by the central sewage treatment plant in the campus. The mess is run by reputed catering organizations with standardized menu’s to suit students of all regions in India. Other facilities of the campus like Central Laundry, Student Store – Sundry shop, gift shop, gym with instructor, indoor basketball and shuttle courts. outdoor sports facilities such as football ground, basketball and tennis courts, with coaching facility, unisex Parlor/Spa, Multi cusine food court (ice cream parlor, fresh juice point, kafex health caters, bangs chicken), 1200 seated air conditioned theater with Dolby stereo surround and satellite relayed movies – once a week with latest release,  travel desk, banks, ATM’s are available for the hostilities.

Lecture Halls
State-of-the-art air-conditioned Lecture Halls with multimedia facilities makes the lectures interesting. With LAN and internet at the desk of every student, lectures become more interactive.

Laboratories
Our lectures are well supported by hands-on experience in the well equipped laboratories. Each laboratory can accommodate over 90 students. Every lab has a demo room for the students to receive their instructions and conduct small group discussions.

Teaching and Evaluation Methods
The dedicated faculty members of CHC use various modalities of teaching and evaluation to support their didactic lectures; like seminars, small group discussions, quizzes, participating in outreach activities etc. Various evaluation protocols are used. Apart from the routine internal assessments and model exams, they also have objective and online exams.

LMS / Networking Learning Environment
CHC is one of the few medical institutions to make lectures available for students online with an anytime, anywhere access facility.

Faculty
The faculty are the main asset of Chettinad University. They are drawn from all over India, and have the highest qualifications in their fields.
